Under the Playback Device options, you can choose between “Mute the rear output device, when a front headphone plugged in” or “Make front and rear output devices playback two different audio streams simultaneously“. Select the latter, if you want the speaker from the back panel to play audio while the front headphone is also playing. My speakers are connected to the rear audio output panel and my headphone in the front audio output panel. I tried changing the setting in sound/playback devices. I can only use my speakers as default devise. My headphone can only be set as default commucation device but not default devise (click set as default devise but nothing happens).
For general entertainment I have a 2.0 speakerset connected to the rear audio output and my headset for simming is connected to the front audio output. How do I easily switch between the output through witch I want to receive the audio? Right now I'm constantly unplugging the headset if I'm not simming and I was hoping there is an easy software solution where I can simply hit a button?
Also, is it possible to have the rear audio output and front audio output show up as two different audio devices in Windows (8.1)? Both my speakers and headset use 3.5mm jacks, no digital devices or whatsoever.
Switch Between Front And Rear Audio Machine

Check the default device for sound playback; there may be multiple selections. Select the desired device, either rear panel or front panel. Hope this works Azeez Nadeem. The switch buttons are large and the labeling easy to read. I can turn zone two on with one button switch now.
